To me its reminiscent of silver particles on negative film which of course when printed like a photograph performs in a similar way .
“Angel Bomb II ” was the breakthrough image where it all began making sense …Fire, candles and oil burners, different oils to make different coloured smoke , glass plates…so very alchemical, working backwards ,in reverse, from the negative first.
