Taking the drawing style further.
Employing all those calligraphy techniques I first learnt from Frank Wesley : We would grind the musk infused ink ( the real stuff ), start it off with dew collected from the garden ( adding more water later) and load the 100 year old Japanese brushes…This was in the 70’s . I was 14.
Im going big with these drawings, continuing my critique of the combustion engine but building the poetry and extending the technical challenge.
Its lovely to collide such traditional painting styles ( Japanese Sumi-e ) with a subject thats a little more pumped than carp and bamboo groves.
